Sherry Jacobs knew early on that she wanted to be in advertising, so she designed her curriculum at University of Massachusetts/Amherst to focus on advertising/marketing and media. Soon after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising/Business, she launched her media career at Harold Cabot Advertising in Boston, MA.

In 1977, Sherry moved to San Francisco and over the course of 12 years worked in the media departments of several major advertising agencies in the City. Her experience includes media planning and buying at ad agencies such as Grey Advertising, Foot, Cone & Belding, BBDO and Chiat/Day. Sherry launched her ad agency career as an Assistant Media Planner and ended as an Associate Media Director. She worked on a variety of accounts ranging from B2B to healthcare, financial institutions, tourism and more.

In 1989 Sherry started her own media planning and buying firm. Since that time she has worked with major advertising agencies and clients, on both local and national levels, planning and buying all types of media. Her focus tends to be in the fields of Foodservice B2B, Healthcare and “Green” clients. However, her experience is multi-faceted and includes work with clients such as:









Sherry maintains contact with ad agencies in San Francisco along with major media representative firms in order to keep her up-to-date with the new media trends that are continually being introduced. Her many years of planning and buying media have made her a fine media research analyst as well as an excellent negotiator and executor of media buys.
